Families: please visit our special page for October which includes ideas for family worship. Please complete the survey (the link is on the page) which will help us determine how to help you and your family in the coming months.
Today for our main on-line worship we present a “live” recording of the service in church last Sunday, 18 October, led by Janice. The reading is Matthew chapter 22, verses 15-22: “Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar?” and Malcolm preaches on the theme “Whose image?”
The songs /hymns are: “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord O My Soul)”, “The Man Who Calms the Sea” and “To God be the Glory”. You’ll find the words on the screen.

Open for Sunday worship
St Andrew’s is open for a short service of Holy Communion each Sunday at 10am. As there are limited numbers, according to Government regulations, we ask you to register your wish to attend a service by emailing Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name(s) and telephone number; you will receive a phone call in the week prior to the Sunday to invite you that service. There is no pressure to return to the church building (we will be continuing “on line” worship resources alongside “on site” services) but if you choose to, please make your own risk assessment based on your situation. Please be assured we are strictly adhering to Government and Church of England guidance including social distancing, wearing of face masks, no singing or refreshments.
Andy’s Community Cafe is closed this week as it is the schools’ half term holiday. We are hoping to return to opening four days (Monday to Thursday, 10am-2.30pm) each week after the break if we have enough volunteers (see appeal for volunteers, below). Masks are compulsory, except when seated. A slightly reduced menu is in operation for now but all our sandwiches, soup, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks are still available and just as yummy as they ever were. Please come and support us if you can – we can’t wait to serve you! – Mary, Amanda & Ayman
Andy’s needs volunteers!
We are looking for volunteers to help our wonderful staff by serving food and looking after customers in Andy’s Community Cafe. Please can you commit to helping regularly on any weekday (Monday to Thursday during school terms), for a full day (10am-2 30pm) or just a morning or afternoon? If so our friendly team would love to hear from you. We have a COVID secure working practice in place to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and customers. Please email Andys2@standrewsgwp.org for more information.
