Welcome to our Worship for Sunday 11 October
A special welcome if you are joining us for the first time. We’d love to welcome you properly, so please click here to send an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Today we present a “live” recording of the service in church last Sunday, 4 October led by Janice. We’ve reached the fourth in our series on 1 Peter: the reading is chapter 4, verses 7-11. Julie preaches and helps us to consider what Peter means by encouraging us to use our Spitirual gifts.
Please join in with the songs /hymns, which are: “Open The Eyes of My Heart”, “From Heaven You Came” (The Servant King), “The Lord’s My Shepherd (And I will trust in you alone)” and “I Stand Amazed in the Presence (How marvellous!)”. All the words are on the screen.

Open for Sunday worship
St Andrew’s is open for a short service of Holy Communion each Sunday at 10am. As there are limited numbers, according to Government regulations, we ask you to register your wish to attend a service by emailing Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name(s) and telephone number; you will receive a phone call in the week prior to the Sunday to invite you that service. There is no pressure to return to the church building (we will be continuing “on line” worship resources alongside “on site” services) but if you choose to, please make your own risk assessment based on your situation. Please be assured we are strictly adhering to Government and Church of England guidance including social distancing, wearing of face masks, no singing or refreshments.
Andy’s Community Cafe has reopened! At present it is only on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2.30pm during school term times, but we hope soon to open on Mondays and Tuesday as well (see appeal for volunteers, below). Masks are compulsory, other than when seated. A slightly reduced menu is in operation for now but all our sandwiches, soup, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks are still available and just as yummy as they ever were. Please come and support us if you can – we can’t wait to serve you! – Mary, Amanda & Ayman
Andy’s needs volunteers! Please can you can commit to helping regularly on any weekday (Monday to Thursday during school terms), for a full day (10am-2 30pm) or just a morning or afternoon? If so our friendly team would love to hear from you. We have a COVID secure working practice in place to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and customers. Please email Andys2@standrewsgwp.org for more information.
