The Story of Job
It is told here in rhyme, based on the Book of Job in the Old Testament.
Song: The Lord is my Rock
Make “happy” and “sad” faces on opposite side of a paper plate and add a stick
Why not listen to the story rhyme once more using your happy face. When Job is happy, turn it to happy, when he is sad, turn it to sad.
All things worked out good in the end for Job, but sometimes sad times last a long time. These can be times when we learn to trust God and those we love even more. This is why we sing, The Lord is my Rock, because God is bigger and stronger than all our worries.
Something to talk about:
Sometimes unexpected things happen that can make us very sad. Who can you go to, to ask for help?
- All things worked out well in the end for Job, even though he got angry and was confused by what was happening he was patient. Have you ever got angry or confused?
- If God could help you with anything today, what would it be?
Thank you for my family and friends.
Thank you to all who help us.
Thank you for your love that never ends.
