A friend of mine is a wonderful musician, one of those who can play almost anything to suit most musical tastes.

Here Mike is at home and playing on his keyboard a piece by the French composer Debussy “Claire de lune” … Moonlight. For me the melody with its expressive flowing chord extensions, together with the way Mike plays it, catches my mood.

Melancholy, wistful, even a bit anxious, but drawn into something more expansive and life-giving. Music that helps me catch glimpses of love, hope, beauty and joy in the everyday. The final spread chord is breathtaking: like looking up at the night sky and simply being awestruck and wanting more. Enjoy.
