Engage has emailed to share a short video (below) which tells of its journey through COVID and expresses deepest gratitude to churches such as St Andrew’s which support it . The email includes:<\/span><\/p>\n

Each year there are a number of key activities you support Engage with, this year one of the biggest impacts has been through online provision of \u00a0It’s Your Move <\/b>for Year 6 pupils, \u00a0reaching over 900 student. Here is what one of the schools said:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

“More than ever this year, our year 6 children have needed reassurance about the transition from Junior School to High School. The children have spent their last term with us in very different circumstances: they have been taught by unfamiliar teachers, who themselves were unfamiliar with the transition needs of the children, having not taught year 6 before. In addition, the children have not been able to visit their new schools, or to speak to the staff.\u00a0 Engaging with ‘Engage’ and the ‘It’s Your Move’ scheme has been invaluable, both for the children and their teachers<\/b>. Having the books delivered and working on them together has helped the children to understand that the emotions they are feeling are ‘normal’ and it has relieved most of their fear and anxiety, so they can now look forward to a positive transition to their new schools.
