It was established in 2007 and is located in Elburgon, Kenya. St. Andrew\u2019s people have\u00a0 supported the home for many years, sponsoring children personally and through their Small Groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We have provided\u00a0funds for\u00a0a new toilet block and to sink a borehole so the home has its own clean water supply. The Talents home aims to be self-supporting for food through its own smallholding, tended by the boys themselves. Our Sunday School children have raised funds to buy chickens and pigs for the Talents &#8220;farm&#8221;.<\/span><br \/><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/talents-childrens-mission-in-elburgon-kenya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Rachel-Smith-300x87.gif\" alt=\"Rachel-Smith\" width=\"190\" height=\"55\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Rachel Smith is a midwife working at the Christian Women\u2019s Hospital (CWH), at Multan in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. \u00a0CWH was established over 100 years ago. \u00a0It has 100 beds with approximately 3,500 deliveries per annum.\u00a0 Rachel is also the country team leader for her organisation in Pakistan.<\/span><br \/><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/rachel-smith-in-multan-pakistan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MAF-logo-300x61.png\" alt=\"MAF-logo\" width=\"339\" height=\"69\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MAF-logo-300x61.png 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/MAF-logo.png 372w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 339px) 100vw, 339px\" \/><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) uses planes to transform the lives of the world&#8217;s most isolated people in need.\u00a0 MAF\u2019s light aircraft and their mission pilots fly onto desert and jungle airstrips, lakes and rivers, tracks and roads to provide a lifeline. MAF works in partnership with hundreds of other Christian and relief organisations, providing practical help, physical healing, and spiritual hope in many of the most remote and inaccessible communities on the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At St Andrew\u2019s our focus is in supporting MAF\u2019s work in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Norbury family: Fraser, Tracy, Oliver and Rosie. \u00a0Fraser is the Head of Finance for MAF in PNG. MAF flies in areas where no commercial airlines will fly and is in many areas the only medical emergency service.<\/span><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/maf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here for more information<\/strong><\/a><br \/><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/BishopHI-logo-300x83.gif\" alt=\"BishopHI-logo\" width=\"231\" height=\"64\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Bishop Hannington Institute of Theology and Development (BHI) is based in Mombasa, Kenya and exists to train individuals for ministry in the East African Church.\u00a0 Its mission statement is, &#8220;Equipping and empowering the people of God for transformative leadership.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">BHI\u2019s students come from seven Anglican Dioceses in Kenya, plus a few from neighbouring countries and some from other churches. \u00a0It teaches a rounded programme of Biblical, pastoral and worship classes with an emphasis on practical involvement in mission and ministry in local churches and schools.\u00a0 In May 2016 there were 43 students enrolled and in the last 25 years it has trained over 300 clergy.\u00a0In recent years BHI has started a School of Business running courses in accountancy and business management.<br \/><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/bishop-hannington-institute-in-mombasa-kenya\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-152\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/near-signpost-web-300x153.jpg\" alt=\"near-signpost-web\" width=\"300\" height=\"153\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/near-signpost-web-300x153.jpg 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/near-signpost-web.jpg 596w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1005\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/a-rocha-logo-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"137\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/a-rocha-logo-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/a-rocha-logo.jpg 564w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 228px) 100vw, 228px\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As part of being an Eco Church we support A Rocha UK, which is a Christian mission &#8211; part of the wider A Rocha International movement &#8211; with a vision to inspire and enable churches and individual Christians to look after God\u2019s creation.\u00a0 They do this through their hands-on ventures (such as the Wolf Fields Nature Reserve in Slough), partnering with Christians and Christian organisations to protect and improve land and habitats they own, and encouraging churches to get involved through the Eco Church programme, Climate Sunday and other initiatives.<br \/><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/a-rocha-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Becky &amp; Stephen Dimmock<\/span><\/h2>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-914\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/BS-Dimmock_2011-300x186.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/BS-Dimmock_2011-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/BS-Dimmock_2011-1024x635.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/BS-Dimmock_2011.jpg 1437w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span class=\"DefaultFontHxMailStyle\" style=\"color: #000000;\">Having spent a year as a Reach volunteer with Friends International in Cambridge, in 2018 Becky, a member of St Andrew\u2019s church family, and six other friends from Cambridge University moved to Cheetham Hill in north Manchester to be a Christian presence in a multi-cultural community with no existing church with the aim of planting a church.\u00a0 That church, known as the \u201cUpper Room Church\u201d is planted and Becky and Stephen Dimmock are now its leaders. They are also starting to explore possibilities for longer term mission service.\u00a0<br \/><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/beckystephen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Across-logo.jpg\" alt=\"Across-logo\" width=\"227\" height=\"84\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Woking is home to Britain&#8217;s first purpose-built Mosque, and there are communities from all around the world now living here. \u00a0The largest minority community has its roots in Pakistan or Kashmir, and there are at least three other Mosques in Woking. \u00a0The Across Project is supported by 12 Woking churches and is linked with the national Mahabba network, which encourages ordinary Christians to be friends with ordinary Muslims. \u00a0The Project provides training courses and encouragement for the Christian community in Woking, and helps to build bridges of understanding between communities.<br \/><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/across\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here for more information<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/engage-logo-140203-1000px-300x128.png\" alt=\"engage-logo-140203-1000px\" width=\"208\" height=\"89\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/engage-logo-140203-1000px-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/engage-logo-140203-1000px-768x328.png 768w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/engage-logo-140203-1000px.png 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 208px) 100vw, 208px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Engage Woking Schools is a charity working to support a Christian presence in and around Woking: 35 primary schools, two secondary schools and Woking College.\u00a0 It provides primary school assemblies, lunchtime and after-school clubs, storytelling, anger management groups, detached and mentoring work and RE lessons, as well as support for Christian Unions, school staff and general school activities.\u00a0 It works in partnership with local churches and church youth and children\u2019s workers and has a growing link with the Open the Book primary school teams.\u00a0<br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/our-mission-partners\/engage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here for more information<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13\" src=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Woking-Street-Angels-300x103.jpg\" alt=\"Woking-Street-Angels\" width=\"224\" height=\"77\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Woking-Street-Angels-300x103.jpg 300w, https:\/\/goldsworthpark.org.uk\/mission\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Woking-Street-Angels.jpg 703w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Woking Street Angels \u00a0are volunteers from many Woking Churches who\u00a0serve on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10pm to 4am\u00a0in the town centre of Woking. They help the many who have been enjoying a night out but\u00a0are sometimes the worse for wear.
